FELTWELL SURGERY

WEST NORFOLK

Opportunity for a Salaried GP

We are a rural, well established, forward thinking fully dispensing GMS Practice. Our team consists of 2 GP Partners, a salaried GP, an ANP, a Clinical Pharmacist and a highly skilled nursing, administration and dispensing team.  We are located in modern, purpose-built premises in West Norfolk (close to the Suffolk border) and provide high quality care to 5500 patients. We have a culture of patient-focused care and are high achievers both in terms of QOF performance and patient feedback. We have partnered with 5 other local Practices to form a strong and collaborative Primary Care Network (Fens and Brecks). Our team-orientated approach, and support for a sustainable work-life balance, has created a friendly and relaxed environment with the stability and performance that comes from long-serving and competent staff.

Due to the retirement of one of our Partners, we are seeking a salaried GP to join our team (with a view to partnership for the right candidate). Start date is flexible as we are willing to wait for the right candidate. Salary is very competitive and number of sessions negotiable, but ideally 6 sessions per week. We offer 8 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave. The successful candidate will be team-orientated and committed to the highest standards of care.  We strongly believe in a good work/life balance and ensure our GPs have sufficient time built into their clinics for administrative tasks and breaks to ensure they go home at a decent time.

Fakenham Medical Practice

Experience General Practice, as it should be in beautiful North Norfolk, only 10 miles from the wonderful so called “Champagne Coast”. We advocate a healthy work-life balance and more time with your own patients building relationships and continuity of care. Due to continued growth, this innovative and forward thinking practice is looking for colleagues to join its team. We offer a doctor first triage which means you only see what you need to see, and routine appointments are 15 minutes long.

With a diverse and experienced multidisciplinary team around for support and a fantastic administrative team in place to help streamline workloads, you can really focus on what truly needs your attention.

We believe the growth of our colleagues to be key to our growth as a Practice. You’ll receive 5 days paid study days per year as standard, have access to funded courses and support for any special interests that you may have. We value continuous learning and offer protected time for training and CPD. We offer 30 days leave per year pro rata, plus bank holidays and we’ll even pay your indemnity too.

We are a training practice for Registrars and have students from both UEA and Cambridge University. Investing in our people is top of our priorities and have created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. To enhance relaxation and team well-being we organise activities such as away days, yoga sessions, lunchtime walks, beach running and regular coffee “reset” times.

Minimal home visits as we have support from a Paramedic, Physicians Associate and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Medication reviews are supported by a Clinical Pharmacist and we have in house support from First Contact Physiotherapists and Social prescribers offering support to patients. We are flexible on sessions with 6, 7 or 8 being available and a relocation package may be available if needed.
