Workforce, training and education
East of England

LEAF is currently a virtual course addressing the practicalities of teaching in the workplace by targeting trainees, fellows, LED, SAS doctors and educators with experience in teaching who are looking to expand on specific skills.

LEAF will encompass four “themes” listed below;

1) Lesson Planning

2) Online Teaching

3) Assessing Work Based Assessments (WBAs)

4) Giving Difficult Feedback

These four themes are covered over a 2-week period and our facilitated by our LEAF Faculty. LEAF consists of a combination of pre-course content, live events and tasks. Despite LEAF taking place over 2 weeks, the total duration of the course is equivalent to 8 hours i.e. a normal working day.

Our course is open to any grade of East of England trainee, fellow, SAS and LED doctor. However, you will need to have experience in organising regional or any formal teaching.

We are pleased to announce we are hoping to run face-to-face LEAF courses towards the end of 2023 at selected HUB centres. Further details to be announced in due course!
