I am a General Surgery trainee in the East of England Deanery, having completed my medical degree at University College London and Foundation training in the North East Thames deanery. Passionate about medical education, I then took up the role of Education Academy Fellow at Barts Health NHS Trust in East London, where I developed an interest in simulation and human factors, facilitating a wide range of multidisciplinary simulation-based courses across a mix of specialties. I was also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and enjoyed being part of the undergraduate teaching faculty, as well as acting as an examiner for medical and dental students. I am currently the lead for Foundation Surgical Teaching at Lister Hospital and am completing a MA in Education for Clinical Contexts at QMUL. Outside of work I enjoy running and cycling and look forward to exploring new places (once we’re allowed!).
ITU Specialty Doctor and Lead Clinical Teaching Fellow
LEAF Faculty since 2020
I am a third-year public health trainee with a passion for making education fun and straightforward. In addition to classic lecturing and tutoring I like to incorporate additional modalities into my teaching. In the past this has included distilling educational updates into a Twitter bulletin, creating educational YouTube animations, creating elearning modules and using toys to educate young children about their health.
I'm excited about the opportunity to learn from other specialties as I join LEAF faculty.
I’m an ST5 trainee in Geriatric Medicine currently working at Ipswich hospital. I’ve had an interest in medical education since university. Over the past 10 years I’ve undertaken different teaching roles alongside my clinical duties, both within the UK and abroad. I’m looking forward to meeting and learning with different educators through the LEAF course
I am a Paediatric Trainee Registrar in the East of England deanery. I moved to the UK in 2019 after completing my MBBS and Masters in Paediatrics in India. I have been teaching ever since I was a junior resident and find teaching and communicating with my peers a very fulfilling part of my practice. I have a keen interest in Medical Education and have undertaken the Teach the Teachers, LEAF, and Generic Instructor training courses. I am also a qualified NLS Instructor.
Outside of work, I am an Indian classical music vocalist and perform with my wife who is a professional Indian classical dancer.
I’m an A&E doctor, who is passionate about making medicine accessible and interesting. I’ve been involved with teaching over many years and am enthusiastic about sharing what I’ve learnt. Outside of work, I enjoy sharing life as a doctor with content creation and making YouTube videos on medical topics. Alongside clinical work, I’m a EOE Leadership Fellow, doing the Developing Trainers Educational Fellowship, and will help to develop LEAF even more.
