My name is Mao and I am a core psychiatry trainee with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. I first started my teaching journey as a student through the very fun and dynamic "Extreme Psychiatry" program at King's College London. Since then, I've continued to build upon my experience, mostly teaching individual students and small groups of medical students as well as members of the multidisciplinary teams I work with. Over the past year, I have been undertaking a PGCert in Medical Education with the University of Cambridge, which has fuelled my interest in educational theory and teaching skills. I'm looking forward to sharing my learning through my work with the LEAF-BUD faculty! I also have a keen interest in research and I have recently been appointed as an Academic Clinical Fellow. Alongside medicine, I am an artist. My creative endeavours have given me an extra perspective into my medical journey, and I hope to bring it into my teaching practice as well!
