The East of England is a large geographical area covering 5 counties, 17 acute hospital trusts and 5.5 million people. To avoid unnecessary traveling we have structured 4 distinct sectors within the region where trainees can be based for the majority of their training, usually in 3-4 hospitals. Movement between sectors can be accommodated according to availability and personal circumstances. All trainees will get experience in rural and urban placements and a university teaching hospital experience.

Eastern Sector: Norwich, Kings Lynn, Great Yarmouth,Ipswich and Compulsory Major Trauma Centre placement for six months.

Northern Sector: Peterborough, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Stevenage, Bedford and Compulsory Major Trauma Centre placement for six or twelve months maximum.

Southern Sector: Watford, Luton, Bedford, Stevenage and Compulsory Major Trauma Centre placement for six or twelve months maximum.

Essex Sector: Harlow, Chelmsford, Southend, Basildon and Compulsory Major Trauma Centre placement for six or twelve months maximum.
