The Educational Supervisors: Simal and Kaushal are partners of the Dental House group which owns and operates 3 practices in Peterborough. We went to the same high school and University and both qualified from this scheme back in 2003/2004. We have been joint ES's on this scheme previously but are very excited for this to be our first year as ES's together at this practice. We recently completed the PG Cert in Dental Education at the University of Bedfordshire.
We are strong believers in minimally invasive dentistry and are always looking to develop our practice with courses and practice learning sessions. We are easy to approach have always encouraged applicants who may benefit from mentoring and have 3 recently qualified dentists working at the practice.
We believe in developing a great working and learning environment and organise meals and nights out throughout the year.
The Practice: We are in the process of combining our 2 practices in Yaxley, which now has 8 mostly newly refurbished surgeries. The practice is always buzzing with staff and patients and help is always at hand. We are lucky to have a very experienced practice manager who has been at the practice for over 17 years and runs the show!
In addition to general dentistry and hygiene services, the practice also offers implants, specialist endodontics, oral surgery and short term orthodontics.
The Area: Yaxley is village just south of Peterborough, which is just a short drive away. It has great transport links by bus and road, with Yaxley at junction 15 of the A1. It is surrounded by countryside which is great for walking and cycling. Peterborough itself is a busy city with places to shop, eat and go out, with direct links to London and the north by train.
Other Points of Interest: We took over these sites just under 2 years ago and in that time have refurbished extensively and expanded. We have a young team who socialise out of work and participate in practice events such as our "lively" Xmas and summer parties!
