The Educational Supervisor: I am a General Dental Practitioner and an experienced Educational Supervisor; I have been ES since 2018. I am also a Clinical Educator for Essex University since 2021. Having fun, Seek Joy and Delivering work is what I do, always in a different order. I enjoy teaching as much as I enjoy clinical work - there is a sense of fulfilment in mentoring. I have a team of experienced dentists at the Dental Practice who are very supportive and keen to help each other.

The Practice: The Thatch Dental Practice is a modern family dental practice in the vibrant market town of Mildenhall. We are BDA Good Practice accredited - BDA Good Practice is a quality assurance programme that allows its members to communicate to patients an ongoing commitment to working to standards of good practice on professional and legal responsibilities.
The Thatch Dental is currently a four-surgery dental practice with well-equipped surgeries. Each surgery has all the necessary equipment, including an Intra-oral digital camera and dual computer monitors. In addition, the Dental Practice has an iTero digital scanner for Invisalign and digital impressions. The labs we use are among the best in the region - we provide free choice to all clinicians if they prefer any particular lab; the same goes for dental materials.
At Thatch Dental, we offer various treatments, including Dental Implants, Invisalign (Comprehensive), Oral Surgery and Smile Makeovers.
There is ample parking available on-site and a lovely garden at the back to enjoy summer sunshine during lunchtime.The Dental Practice is based on the ground flour and is wheel chair accessible.
The entire team is amiable and supportive of each other. The Practice Manager, a qualified Dental Nurse, leads the operational side. She has been with the practice for nearly eight years and understands every nuance of the running of the Dental Practice. As a result, you will be in good hands and amongst an experienced and supportive team.
The Area: Mildenhall is a vibrant market town, about 30 minutes drive from Cambridge. Mildenhall is also the home of the 100th Air Refuelling Wing (100 ARW) of US Airforce; there is a significant presence of USAF personnel in Mildenhall and Lakenheath (adjoining twinned town), and the largest US airbase in the UK. Mildenhall has a large Sainbsury's store, Cafes and Restaurants. The city is well connected with A11/A14, Cambridge to the West and Bury St Edmunds to the east. There is good public transport and taxi services - the nearest train station is about 20 minutes away in Newmarket.
Other Points of Interest: Ample rental accommodation is available in the Mildenhall, from small dwellings to large American-style houses - primarily targeted at USAF personnel. My team and I will be happy to help you relocate and find suitable accommodation in the area.
Spread across the year, we organize small events such as BBQ, Lunch out etc., for the entire team - everyone love this!
