The Practice: Stonydelph Dental Practice is a friendly and busy family practice and has been established since the 1980s. It was originally a single-handed practice but due to the demand for a dental service in this area it was expanded to a dual surgery practice. It provides both NHS, Private as well as domiciliary services with an established reputation in the local community. The practice is modern and the surgeries have access to a central decontamination room making is accessible from both surgeries. This provides a close communication between both rooms which is ideal for a teaching environment. Other facilities include a reception area with a fully integrated phone system, a well-lit and relaxed patient seating area and an office-staff room.It is fully computerised with Software of Excellence  Software (Exact) and digital radiography, the training of which is provided at induction. The practice also benefits from air conditioning and enhanced ventilation to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for staff and patients alike. The team is small and close knit with a good work ethic instilled by the principal. There is an associate with 20yrs + experience and who has experience in training clinicians. There are 2 receptionists who manage the diary through excellent booking systems and protocols. The nurses are all qualified, experienced and proficient in EXACT and patient management. There is also an on-site practice manager who overlooks the day to day running of the practice.

The Area: The practice is located in the outskirts of Tamworth in a local square in the heart of the Stonydelph Community. Facilities in the area comprise of a local pharmacy, local Spar Shop as well as many places to eat.

The practice is easily accessible from the M42 Junction 10 and is only a 20-minute drive from Birmingham Central. There are good facilities of public transport with a local train station in Wilnecote and also a 5 min walk from the local bus stop.

There is ample parking in the free public car park adjacent to the practice where all the staff and patients park.

Other Points of Interest: The practice offers a very supportive environment from training to mental wellness for each individual person of the team. Staff training includes medical emergencies and CPR as well as infection control amongst many others. To support staff further the practice provides a free online portal with a vast array of courses ensuring all of the team are up to date with their learning. The mental wellness of all staff is facilitated through regular meetings with the practice manager who has been a rock for many of them in the past and present. Furthermore, monthly staff meetings ensure all staff are brought up to speed with any changes or updates in the practice where all staff are encouraged to participate including all new team members.

As a practice the whole team is excited to welcome the new therapists as part of the DFT Scheme and we look forward to providing a positive new experience with strong foundations for their journey ahead!
