The Educational Supervisors: Urvi qualified from Cardiff University in 2003. She completed her MFGDP qualification in 2008 and has also completed her PG Cert in Dental Education. She has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, having undertaken the Chris Orr course in aesthetic dentistry, and short term orthodontics. Urvi has a lot of experience with foundation training and has been an educational supervisor since 2010. Outside of dentistry Urvi enjoys running, baking and spending time with her children.
Ben ualified from Barts and The London Dental School in 2015. He did his foundation training at Hoddesdon Dental Surgery following which he stayed on as an associate. Ben has a special interest in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Dental Pathology, and holds a Bsc (Hons) in Forensic Biology. Ben has thoroughly enjoyed his first year as an educational supervisor and looks forward to the next year. Outside of Dentistry, Ben is a keen Saxophonist, and has performed all over the United Kingdom and Europe, including a spell aboard the Queen Elizabeth II ocean liner.
The Practice: The practice has been at its current location for over 60 years. The practice has not long undergone a massive refurbishment and extension to provide four state of the art surgeries. All surgeries are air-conditioned and we have ample car parking spaces for staff and patients. We have a separate sterlisation room and are fully equipped with digital x-rays, intra-oral cameras, apex locatory, rotary endodontics.
The team comprises of two other associates, five nurses and two part-time hygienists. We have a visiting specialist oral surgeon a visiting implantologist as well as a dentist with special interest in Endodontics. All staff work in a friendly and professional manner and are committed to Continuing Postgraduate Development.
The practice is walking distance from the high street.
The Area: Hoddesdon is a market town approximately 20 miles north of Central London. The population is mixed both in terms of age and occupation with many people commute into the city. The nearest railway stations are Rye House and Broxbourne.
