The Educational Supervisors: Maria Vassiliou: Graduated in Athens, Greece 2003. Has worked in private practice in Cyprus for 1 year before coming to England. Committed to postgraduate education, completed an MSc in Implant Dentistry, a Certificate course on Cosmetic Dentistry & Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry and the PGCert.Med.& Dent.Ed. She has been an Educational Supervisor since 2010. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry particularly cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Outside dentistry her interests include art, photography, traveling and skiing.
Daniele Montagliani: graduated at the prestigious University of Siena before moving to England in 2005.He has a special interests in Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry. He holds a Masters in Endodontics from the University of La Sapienza, Rome and a Masters in Restorative Dentistry from the University of Siena. He has been an Educational Supervisor since 2016.
The Practice: Our premises are situated in a classical neo-Georgian building that opened in 2005 as a 2 surgery practice.It has been since then updated and modernised internally, offering state of the art equipment and a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. It has now 5 state of the art surgeries and a decontamination room. One of the surgeries is dedicated to implant treatment. Also a microscope is fitted to further enhance the quality of the dental work carried out in endodontics and prosthetics. The practice is fully computerised, with digital radiography including OPG. A scanner and soft tissue laser complement the available equipment. Two of the surgeries are ambidextrous. As part of our practice, The Bedford Dental Academy, provides continuous professional education for dental professionals.
The Area: The practice is centrally located in Bedford, close to the town centre, local amenities and train station. Bedford is easily accesible from London via train or car (M1, junction 13).
Other Points of Interest: Bedford is the county town of Bedfordshire. Bedford was founded at a ford on the River Great Ouse, and is thought to have been the burial place of Offa of Mercia. Bedford Castle was built by Henry I, although it was destroyed in 1224. Bedford was granted borough status in 1165 and has been represented in Parliament since 1265. It is known for its large population of Italian descent.
