Birmingham Dental Hospital

Birmingham Dental Hospital is home to the University of Birmingham’s School of Dentistry and is one of 10 dental hospitals in England. It integrates the Dental School and Dental Hospital under one roof. It is situated within a few miles of the vibrant city centre of Birmingham. The site opened within the last decade and boasts state of the art facilities for delivering patient care and training.
There is an array of NHS services provided within the building. Apart from dental service provision, the Dental Hospital provides training opportunities for undergraduate dentists, dental hygienists and therapists, dental nurses and an array of postgraduate programmes.
There are specialist units present, including a primary care unit, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, oral medicine, orthodontics and paediatric specialities. The Dental Hospital has world-class research facilities and is renowned for the excellent research it publishes.
Apart from planned care, the service offers emergency care for walk-in patients also.

 

Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Worcestershire Royal Hospital is part of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The hospital is situated close to the M5 on the western side of Worcester. The hospital provides secondary and tertiary services, Maternity, A&E, Critical Care and outpatient clinics, including an Oral and Maxillofacial Unit and an Orthodontic clinic.
The Oral and Maxillofacial units provide services and treatments including facial deformity, facial plastics, head and neck lumps and oral surgery. The team comprises of consultants, specialists and staff grade clinicians.
This training post will provide experience in minor oral surgery alongside managing maxillofacial patients, who may present with several conditions such as cancer, trauma, facial deformity etc. This will provide rich experience in a broad range of areas including the management of in-patient care.

New Cross Hospital is part of the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. It is located near Wednesfield on the eastern side of Wolverhampton within 2 miles of the city centre. The trust is one of the largest providers of acute and community care within the West Midlands.
The hospital provides secondary and tertiary services, Maternity, A&E, Critical Care and outpatient clinics, including an Oral and Maxillofacial Unit and an Orthodontic clinic.
