The East of England School of Paediatrics offers an exceptional training program for paediatric trainees at all levels, from ST1 through to ST7 (ST8), that is aligned with the RCPCH curriculum and emphasizes excellence, innovation, and professional development. Trainees at all levels in the region benefits from a comprehensive and progressive learning experience that equips them with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to succeed in their paediatric careers.

Trainees in the early stages of training (ST1-4) are exposed to a variety of paediatric specialties, including general paediatrics, neonatology, community paediatrics and other subspecialties in both district general Hospitals and the tertiary hospitals in the region where they get hands-on clinical experience, mentorship from experienced senior paediatricians, and opportunities for educational development. Through rotations in different clinical settings and regular assessments, trainees build a strong foundation in paediatric practice and acquire the necessary skills to progress in their training.

At ST5-8 level, there are opportunities to specialize in specific paediatric subspecialties, such as paediatric oncology, paediatric neurology, and paediatric gastroenterology. The training curriculum is designed to deepen trainees' expertise in their chosen subspecialty, preparing them for advanced clinical practice and leadership roles in paediatrics. Trainees engage in research projects, quality improvement initiatives, and multidisciplinary collaborations to enhance their clinical skills and contribute to the advancement of paediatric care.
