The Educational Supervisor: Afy Ilyas qualified in 1998 and is a very experienced trainer having been appointed as a Dental Foundation Educational Supervisor since 2003. He established Dental Health Stop in February 2000. He particularly enjoys Oral Surgery and implant dentistry. Afy Ilyas is also Chair of the Local Dental Committee, a Specialist Advisor to the CQC, Dental Advisor to NHS England and a Royal College of Surgeons Examiner.
Jamini Parmar graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2015. As a young dentist, she remembers the importance of the DFT year and is keen to mentor the FD. She enjoys Cosmetic Dentistry and is a certified InvisalignGo and QST provider. Some more of Jamini's post qualifications include MJDF/MFDS.
The Practice: DHS has been established since February 2000 and it has grown into a state-of-the-art clinic of six surgeries spread across two floors. The lovely team will welcome the FD in a friendly manner as they are used to being a training practice for several years. All surgeries are well equipped with computerised technology making appointments and learning efficient. The practice also has a digital X-ray system and an OPG machine. The Area: The practice is situated on a busy main road- Stafford Road just off the M6 Junction 10, making DHS easily accessible by road to our patients from Wolverhampton as well as the surrounding areas. DHS is easy to travel to by public transport as well because Wolverhampton Town Centre is nearby. DHS is surrounded by plenty of car parking facilities allowing easy access to patients as well as our staff.
