The Practice: We have a well established 6 surgery practice that sees about 10,000 active patients. The majority of them are seen through the NHS system. The practice has a central sterilisation room, two waiting rooms. Facilities for our staff include a staff room and
kitchen. Separate male and female changing/toilet facilities with a shower. We have a fully computerised IT system with digital x-ray and OPT, clinipads, intra-oral camera's, air conditioning and Internet connection including WIFI through the building.

All together, including our FD, there are eight dentists and two hygienists working at the practice. They all have there own experiences and interests including oral surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, implants and restorative dentistry. We have a very open door policy at the practice with everyone happy to share their knowledge and help each other.

Our support staff currently number ten. This is a mix of practice manager, receptionists, qualified and student dental nurses. The work ethos in the practice is strong and we operate as one big family. We enjoy a good social life at the practice.
The highlight of the year is our annual welcome/good bye party for our FDs.

The Area: We are located on a main road into Leicester about 2 miles from the city centre. The high street has all associated local amenities. There are pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, walk in center, police station, parks and petrol station close to the practice.  The area is such that we treat patients from all socio-economic backgrounds. This makes our practice interesting and varied. There are easy public transport links into the city.

Other Points of Interest: Leicester’s cultural mix makes it a wonderfully diverse place to live. Within the city centre there is a very modern shopping complex and a good selection of restaurants, bars and clubs. However a short trip out of Leicester will bring into beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for many outdoor activities.
