We also hold the local Minor Oral Surgery (MOS) contract, which gives trainees the unique opportunity to observe and learn from oral surgeons who carry out advanced surgical procedures. Shadowing and mentoring are a key part of the experience here, and we make a point of involving our trainees in as much as possible, depending on their interests and progression.

Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire,

Leverstock Green Dental Practice (Oradent Group)

Kinnari Bhuva BDS (lond) 2009
GDC Number: 177604

I qualified from Kings College London in 2009 with merit. Since then i did my DFT over 2 years, split between general practice and as an Senior House officer (SHO) at Guys Hospital within the Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Paediatric dentistry departments.
Following this, i went to Leeds General Infirmary and did another SHO post within Oral surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery. I found working within the hospital setting to be extremely rewarding exposing me to the more complex, advanced treatment needs. This also gave me the opportunity to be actively involved with teaching and supervising the final year dental students.

From 2012, i have exclusively worked in general practice within both private and NHS settings. I have really enjoyed working in practice, and feel very passionately about being able to see the same patients grow alongside me as i progress though my dental career. I have a particular interest in restorative treatments eg. crown work and root canal treatments and am fully supportive of furthering one's skillset through post graduate courses. I have completed the year long Aspire Restorative Course and Advanced Endodontic course led by Richard, Raheem and Vishal, as well as more recently doing the Attiq Rahman Crown course, and the Mini Smile Makeover with Dipesh Palmer. These have been a wonderful way to consolidate and upskill my existing clinical skills and stay up to date with the latest techniques/materials.

Outside of clinical work, i am really passionate about teaching. I have really enjoyed working as a tutor/examiner for the ORE OSCE exams at the Royal College of Surgeons for the last few years. This has involved not only demonstrating the practical skills involved in general practice but also leading small group tutorials whereby we can discuss cases/topics to help prepare for the ORE exams. It's been a really fulfilling experience being able to mentor the foreign dentists as they try to kickstart their dental career in the UK.

When i am not working, i love spending time and socialising with my friends and family. My 3 children help me to stay active and fit, and I have most recently found a new love for Padel!

I qualified from Birmingham Dental School in 2005 and kicked off my career with Foundation Training right here at De-ientes. I loved my time so much that I never left! I stayed on as an associate and, by 2011, took on the role of joint Educational Supervisor—a journey that’s been rewarding ever since. While I enjoy many aspects of dentistry, I have a particular passion for crowns, veneers, composite restorations, and teeth whitening. One of the most fulfilling parts of my work is helping nervous patients feel comfortable and confident in the chair. No two days at De-ientes are ever the same, and that’s what makes it exciting—the fantastic team and wonderful patients create a positive and dynamic environment that I genuinely love.

Beyond dentistry, I keep busy with charity work, traveling, and sometimes even combining the two. I have a knack for exploring new interests, which led me to earn a certificate in Interior Design. When I’m unwinding, you’ll find me spending time with friends or diving into creative pursuits like baking or painting.
