Regional Teaching & Study Leave

There are some generic skills which are best provided to cohorts of registrars and linked to particular phases of training. These include exam preparation and skills such as communication, reflection, teaching skills, giving and receiving feedback, financial management, leadership and management, amongst others. Emphasis in the latter stages of training is placed on leadership and management. Registrars, supported by the TPD, lead the commissioning of a regional training programme. The regional training prospectus for Public health registrars is available below which outlines opportunities available for registrars to sign up for annually in April.

Senior registrars can also make use of specialist courses according to their educational need and career intent. The current study leave policy is available to download below.
