Professional Support Unit (PSU) Annual Development Day 2019
The PSU will be holding their annual Professional Support Unit’s Development Day on Tuesday 21 May 2019.
How do I apply?
Spaces on the day are limited to 100 delegates. Once we have reached the capacity, a waiting list will open.
You can book your place by following this link https://healtheducationyh.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/psudevday-210519
Who should attend?
In the first instance we are looking for those with educational leadership with priority given to those in a Director of Medical Education (DME), Head of School (HoS) and Training Programme Director roles.
We would ask that, as a DME or HoS you liaise with FTPD/TPDs and nominate candidates to ensure we get a good cross section of representation at the event. Educational Supervisors would also be eligible to attend the PSU Development Day. Clinical Supervisors and College Tutors will also be considered.
What is the PSU Annual Development Day about?
If you are interested in developing your skills in providing support to trainees, providing more comprehensive support to trainees returning to work, and strategies in working with trainees that are struggling with their training, then this development day will be useful for you. The programme is still in development although, the focus of the day will be around mental health and well-being including a mix of interactive workshops and keynotes on this topic. We also plan to have a marketplace where you will have the opportunity to speak to the PSU providers including psychological support, careers coaching, exam support and communication skills.
To learn more about our providers and what the PSU do, information can be found on our section of the HEE website: https://heeoe.hee.nhs.uk/psu
