Nursing and Midwifery

Nursing, midwifery and health visiting are often defined as the 'caring professions'. It is the practice undertaken to care for and treat patients and clients in a variety of health care settings including the hospital and community  setting.

Nurses and Midwives deliver high quality care to patients across a wide range of care pathways and in a variety of settings. They are highly skilled practitioners who are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

The Professional Advisor for Nursing and Midwifery is Rhonda Fusco who works in this role two days a week.

Rhonda is based in the quality improvement team and is a contributor to the quality monitoring of commissioned Nursing and Midwifery programmes. Rhonda facilitates and encourages the sharing of innovation and best practice, including the development of clinical academic careers.
