He became a vocational trainer in 2007 for the East of England Deanery and an honorary tutor for London & Barts Dental Hospital in 2008. He teaches and lectures to dental students at Southend Outreach. He became a clinical educator and part time lecturer for the oral hygiene programme run through Essex University in 2008. He completed his teaching qualification in dental and medical education in 2009. Stephen has cared for many families for over 20 years.

Robert Coveney: Robert qualified with an honours degree, he has completed PGCert in Dental Education and is now studying towards a PGCert in implantology. He has a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.  Robert has also been a lecturer at the University of Essex, teaching dental hygiene and therapy on the foundation and BSc degree courses. He is well-versed in orofacial pain and part of the Medical Advisory Board of the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association.

Ben Marion: Ben is a friendly and enthusiastic member of the team. He will happily take the time to discuss any dental issues you may have, and particularly enjoys helping more nervous patients feel at ease.  Graduating from Barts and The London Dental School, Ben has a special interest in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Dental Pathology, and holds a Bsc (Hons) in Forensic Biology.

The Practices:  With a polite, professional and approachable team and an environment that is friendly and relaxed, we believe dentistry should be stress and hassle free.bThe practice is friendly, often having socials and enjoy catching up a lunch. No matter who you go to, someone will be happy to help assist.

The practice is in a residential area, close to the town centre, with a large catchment area which covers a wide range of people, from local council estates and Universities, to commuters and professionals. The practice has been established and developed over many years as a "family practice", and is well known and respected.

There are four surgeries for dental surgeons, one of which is used also by the hygienist.  This has been recently refurbished and there is plans for more refurbishment in the practice over the forthcoming year, so exciting times ahead.

The practice is easily reached from the A12, M25, and M11. A small amount of on site parking is available, there is some on-street parking, and there are several public car parks close to the practice. It is an easy walk to the railway and bus stations, and there are frequent connections to London Liverpool Street, the tube, DLR, etc.

The Studio is a five minute drive from the Clinic.  It is situated on the old A13 leading to Southend at the bottom of what's locally known as Bread and Cheese Hill.

Benfleet is on the Thames Estuary and offers a wide range of local amenities including sports, sailing, theatres ,restaurants and cinemas.  As well as local bus and train services, there are excellent road links.  Both the A13 and A127 lead to Benfleet. Benfleet is a largely modern village/town in the Castle Point district of Essex, 30 miles east of London.

Having patients from both Southend and Canvey Island, there is a mix of diversity and thus treatment needs. Some patients require much higher treatment needs but also there are stable long-term patients. The area is pleasant with multiple great restaurants. Leigh on sea is 5-10 minutes away and is fashionable and chic, especially in the Summer time in the 'Old-Leigh' Area. Basildon is also 15 minutes away and bosts bowling, cinemas and restaurants.

We work in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.  There is a ready exchange of knowledge and views, and a good social interaction within and outside the practice. As a team we are committed to personal  professional development and lifelong learning .We are looking for a vibrant professional person to join our friendly team. Our Christmas parties are always a great laugh with a dinner & dance involved, so your calender can be as packed as you want it to be!

If you are planning on moving to the area, places to consider are Leigh-on-Sea which has a vibrant young professional lifestyle, including art festivals, old-leigh pubs and bars and a generally all-round good feel. Commuting from London is easy and straight-forward as well.
