GMC Trainee Survey
The GMC runs an annual National Trainee Survey. The survey is a key way that HEE - EoE gets feedback about the quality of our training posts and programmes. It asks about your training, supervision, workload and educational support and takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Importantly the survey also now includes the opportunity to raise patient safety concerns which are fed back immediately by the GMC to HEE - EoE for investigation.
The survey asks trainees to provide information on their current post, not past posts; so if you are not in a post currently you are excluded. Your answers are confidential and any patient safety information is passed on anonymously.
Completion of the survey is an important ethical and professional responsibility and is therefore mandatory for all trainees in a current post. By national agreement non-compliance will result in an ARCP outcome 5 and the requirement to complete a reflective portfolio entry on your reasons for non-completion.
Information and FAQs are currently available at http://www.gmc-uk.org/education/surveys.asp should you have further questions.
The GP School asks trainees to complete the BOS survey every 6 months in order to gain feedback from their local placements. Your feedback is really important to us and it can help to shape the future of the GP Training Programme.
It is a professional duty for doctors to participate in giving feedback in order to improve services, so I would strongly encourage you to complete it.
Please follow this link to the survey - https://healtheducationyh.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/gp-end-of-post-survey-jun-17-to-dec-17
We advise that you complete one BOS survey per placement.
Please base the survey on your current placement or previous placement should you not have been in your current placement long.
If you have already completed this survey during your current placement then you will not need to complete this again at this time.
Please note: If you are currently out of programme (sick leave, maternity leave) then you do not need to complete this survey.
