Influencing with impact - Influencing takes place daily - with the patients and their families that you support, the colleagues and senior professionals that you engage with or other external organisations that you work with. Being able to influence others isn’t something that comes easily to us all. There are approaches and ideas that will enable you to think differently about what you do and how to adapt your style according to the situation and environment that you are in.

By the end of this webinar you will: -

  • Discover your own natural influencing style and how you can use this knowledge to enhance your influencing and negotiating skills in the workplace

How to Plan Projects for Busy People - 21 April 2021

"How to plan projects for busy people (Jargon free)” is a light and effective project management intro course for non-project managers.

  • It helps people feel more in control of their projects by learning simple tools to plan early (without feeling overwhelmed by details).
  • It encourages people to think about risks and issues that can occur in a project…before they happen.
  • We look at breaking down a project, highlighting milestones and the importance of regular communication with stakeholders (and easiest way to do this if time is an issue).
  • We look at simplest way to maintain project documentation, without the need for elaborate Gantt charts or complicated risk assessment logs.
  • At the end of the projects, delegates should feel confident to put some simple structure in place to help them manage projects. More importantly, delegates who really take the knowledge and apply it at work will notice a positive change in the way that they deal with their stakeholders. This will also help reduce the likelihood of projects going over budget.

Presenting Change Confidently - 19 May 2021

Presenting Change Confidently - Given the global impact of the Covid 19 pandemic no-one needs to be told that change is a constant in today’s world, and can be sudden and surprising. However, change can also be a force for good and when managed well, people can react positively to change. So what have we learnt from recent events, what changes do we want to keep, adapt, continue doing? How can you support others through periods of change? This workshop will look at individual responses to change, how to guide others through change and how to communicate it with confidence. There will be opportunities for you to discuss your own ‘change challenge’ in small groups using breakout rooms, so please come with a change (real or imagined) that you wish to communicate. Please bring a hat along to this workshop

During this workshop we will cover:

  • Reactions to change and how to support yourself and others
  • The change curve and where you are in relation to those you need to communicate to
  • Communicating change: best practice.
