As part of the interview process you are required to bring with you to the interview the following documentation. Failure to do so could mean that you will not be interviewed.

  • 2 x Passport size photographs - taken within the last 6 months (print your name and GMC on the back of the photographs)
  • Original passport (Essential) plus 2 copies of the front cover, inside cover & colour copies of signature/photograph page and any relevant visa stamps or alternative Photo ID – if passport is not available on the day of interview please contact the recruitment team in advance to discuss this issue.
  • Immigration Status - Documentary evidence from the Home Office - plus 2 copies (if applicable)
  • Original Marriage Certificate and partners passport (including photo and any relevant visa stamps) - plus 2 copies (if applicable)
  • Original Evidence of English language qualification / Letter from Educational Supervisor or Employer - plus 2 copies
  • Original current GMC Proof of Registration - plus 2 copies
  • Original Medical Degree - Original certificate of qualification e.g. MBBS or equivalent - plus 2 copies
  • Original Higher Qualification  - Original certificate of higher qualification e.g. MRCS / MRCP / MRCOG etc. - plus 2 copies
  • Original Proof of Competences – see Competences page - plus 2 copies
  • Original Medical certificate - if declaring a disability - plus 2 copies
  • Original Advanced Life Support (ALS) Certificate - plus 2 copies
  • Proof of Address - plus 2 copies
  • Personal Portfolio - if applicable to the specialty you are applying to - in paper format as Eportfolio is not available at interview (include any publications or prizes you declare on your application form) - These must be available for the panel to see.
    NB - please ensure that your portfolio does not contain any confidential information, for example patient notes.
  • References - see the References Page. Hard copies will be accepted on the day of interview and must be signed and carry a hospital stamp (or compliment slip) for verification purposes.  If these are received via email they must be sent from the referee NHS email account to the Recruitment Helpdesk.

The document copies you provide must be put in the order above, made up in to two separate packs and secured by staples.  Please attach your photograph to the front of each pack with a paperclip.

You must ensure that you obtain the photocopies before you arrive for interview as photocopying facilities are not available. 

PLEASE NOTE - If you do not have original documents, or copies, you will be required to send the originals and the copies in the post.
