Quality Operational Group (QOG)
QOG is the strategic group responsible for the co-ordination and management of the Quality Improvement management and assurances through the QIPF. The objectives of QOG:
- Develop, review and oversee the implementation of the Quality Improvement Performance Framework (QIPF)
- Support the educational governance structure through efficient and robust management of the QIPF
- Review the quality management processes on an annual basis
- Receive Quality Performance Review (QPR) reports and related action plans
- Overseeing implementation and on-going review
- Review the outputs of QIPF and alignment with commissioning plans
- Manage the action plans from the annual QPR reviews ensuring consistency of approach and local ownership
- Make recommendations to HEE EoE towards the LDAs with LEPs and ensure processes are in place to monitor such agreements
- Manage GMC Quality Assurance visits and respond to issues raised
- Oversee systems that ensure a high response rate to the GMC trainee and trainer surveys and respond to findings appropriately and in a timely manner
- Review collated quality data and information from a range of sources including CQC and Monitor, ensuring it is triangulated and that data sources are used effectively to inform education commissioning decisions
- Respond to national quality issues
- Constantly review processes to ensure they are fit for purpose
