The Educational Supervisors: David Wilkinson: Qualified at Otago, New Zealand, in 1983. A motivated and enthusiastic trainer, with 14 years experience of mentoring and guiding FDs. In general practice for 31 years, both private and NHS. Focused on preventative care with a special interest in implants and cosmetic dentistry. I am keen to explore new concepts and methods of treatment supported by on-going training.
My leisure interests include:- supporting the All Blacks, skiing, diving, tennis and raising 2  children.

Frederick Fernando: Qualified from Kings College Dental Institute in 2006, completing FD training at this practice. I am enthusiastic and approachable. I became an honorary clinical teacher at Kings College in 2008, which involved supervising final year students on a restorative clinic, fueling a passion for teaching.
I've completed a one year certificate on Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry and a one year Biohorizons Implant course. I particularly enjoy cosmetic orthodontics, certified in both Invisalign and Six 
Month Smiles systems. Also certified in Wrinkle Reducing treatments. I love traveling the world with my family and playing my beloved saxophone.

We bring a host of skills, that we are excited to pass on to a foundation dentist. It's our aim to help you to develop into a confident, empathetic, highly motivated dentist by the end of the year.

The Practice: Our practice was founded in 1949 and has an enviable local reputation. We offer both NHS and Private treatments providing a full range of clinical dentistry.

Our team: 

• Madeleine Hartmann - joined us 10 years ago from Sweden and brings a lot of experience into the practice.
• Natalie Lewis- is enjoying her third  year as a full time associate having completed her DF1,  with us 6  years ago. She returned  after completing 2 years post graduate study. Currently studying for her Masters in Restorative Dentistry and wishes to continue teaching.
• Sunil Chudasama brings to us his experiences of studying for his Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.
• Mariam Hussain- having completed DF1 with us last year we are really pleased that Mariam has been able to stay with us and continue to build a delighted patient base.
• Sarah Siddiqui- is having a fulfilling year with us as our current FD
• Nicci Davey-  joined us as our hygienist 3 years ago.
• Elizabeth May is our very experienced therapist skilled in all aspects of childrens and adult dentistry.

We have an experienced, hard working team of nurses and a wonderful reception team.

Saffron Walden is a beautiful, historic market town complete with castle ruins!  Its stately home Audley End House has outdoor concerts in the summer. Lots of shops-the usual chain shops and a broad spectrum of independents. Lots of pubs, good coffee shops and restaurants.Good leisure centre, pool and gym (open to the public) and other private facilities and gyms available. Excellent golf club, rugby club, cricket, hockey and football club.
Nearby Cambridge offers everything you'd expect from a university city..

Other Points of Interest: By car: 30 mins from Jct 27 of the M25, 15 mins from Stansted Airport (Jct 8, M11). 40 mins from Jct 4 of the M11 (NE London). 15 mins south of Cambridge.

By rail: 50 minutes from Liverpool Street Station or 15 minutes from Cambridge to Audley End mainline station,  then a 3 minute taxi ride to the practice.
