GMC National Training Survey 2017

GMC National Training Survey (NTS) 2017

GMC's 2017 surveys for doctors in training and trainers are now open

If you are a doctor in training or a postgraduate educational or clinical supervisor, you are invited to take part in this year's GMC national training surveys which run from 21 March to 3 May.

Your response helps deaneries, HEE local teams and local education providers check that doctors in training receive high quality training in a safe and effective clinical environment, and trainers are well supported in their role. Your feedback will help recognise where the training is working well, and highlight where action is needed to make improvements.

Following feedback from doctors in training, this year the GMC have introduced new questions on rota design so we can pinpoint where issues exist. These questions have been developed with the help of doctors in training across the UK, researchers, the BMA and other representatives of medical education and training organisations across the UK.

Have your say

Your survey is easy to complete, and will take about 15 minutes. Please make sure you complete your survey by midday on 3 May 2017.

By taking part, you will help to protect and improve the quality of UK medical training, and the support trainers receive for their role.
